Sunday morning worship thoughts
A short while to quiet our spirits will enable us to leave some distractions behind and center ourselves in God. Worship begins in our hearts, not on our lips. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. Accept it Lord, though we know it is poor and imperfect. May the preaching be God centered, cross centered and gospel centered. Keep the truth ever before me that to obey is better than sacrifice. Is it an inviting space for worshipers to gather? Bible Reference: This is very helpful for me personally. Are all clearly aware of the theme of this service, especially if some who will lead were not involved in planning the service? People will take time to enjoy the Bibles studies, the services and the Christian fellowship times offered through CrossRoads Church.
Help me to be obedient to You in all things. Post-service worship then leads us in a continuous circle back to step 1.
Heart of worship devotional
How many of us consider that? In Psalm 15 David talks about going to "your sanctuary" and "your holy hill. Responding in Praise and Thanks Are there any lingering questions? You may have more ability than the worship leader. Stragglers who enter worship after it has begun can be distracting to others. Those who stand between God and his people for this important worship conversation must be personally prepared for this role. We may want to call it "pre-Sabbath" preparation.
